Ted Baker founder Ray Kelvin and New York Times chief exec Mark Thompson are among 16 philanthropists who've been appointed to a fundraising campaign board for Cancer Research UK to raise £100m for the Francis Crick Institute.

Opening in King's Cross, London in 2015, the institute will be the largest biomedical research institute in Europe for scientists to work on new discoveries for cancer and all major disease patients.
